Sri Lanka is touring in India to play T20s and ODIs from January 2023. The BCCI has taken an interesting decision and given place for several youngsters in the T20s. Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20s while Rohit Sharma will lead the ODIs against Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul have opted out from the T20 series. Rishabh Pant was the vice-captain for Team India in T20 series and he was given rest. Suryakumar Yadav is the new vice-captain. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is dropped from the squad and Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik have to take the responsibility. Shikar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant are omitted from the ODIs.
Team India will play three T20s and three ODIs with Sri Lanka starting on January 3rd and the tour comes to an end by January 15th. Hardik Pandya will be leading Team India in T20s for the second consecutive time after the New Zealand tour. The first three T20s will take place in Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot on January 3rd, 5th and 7th. The three ODIs will take place on January 10th, 12th and 15th in Guwahati, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram respectively. Here is the complete list of squad for T20s and ODIs:
